The game got off to a frightening start when forward Mason Raymond got pushed into the backboards during the early seconds of the game. He is out for the next 3-4 months with a fractured vertebra. Boston then quickly went on to score the quickest 4 goals in Stanley Cup Finals game history, breaking a record that has not been touched for 45 years.
Vancouver tightened up there game a bit but that quick 4 goal lead for Boston proved to be to much for Vancouver.
The Bruins are one win away from their first championship since 1972 and are 0-5 in the finals since. If Roberto Luongo can't pull his act together in game 7, the Bruins will snap that 5 finals in a row losing streak.
I would disagree, I feel that Boston looked very nice with the first 4 goals that made. After that, the game went to hell with fumbles, lost chances and players unaware of each other! To me it looked as if Boston was sitting on the game.
ReplyDeleteVancouver didn't commit to the game 100% from my point of view due to perhaps a little fatigue and knowing that they are going to have home ice advantage in game 7.
I see game 7 going to Vancouver
i think that game 7 is Vancouver's and mainly Loungo's Game to win or lose. the last game they had at home he shut out the Bruins 1-0. This is game 7, Boston is going to be ready to play and Loungo is going to need a lot more goal support than just 1.
ReplyDeleteI somewhat agree with the statement above. The winner of this series will be based on Luongo. Thomas is gonna play amazing like he has all series, but can Luongo continue to dominate at home in the biggest game of the series.
ReplyDeleteMy prediction?
If the Canucks win this game, it will be low scoring.. Maybe like a 2-1 game.
If the Bruins win this game, I full expect it to be a high scoring affair.. 4-2.
I'm picking Luongo and the Canucks in game 7.
